TechMedia is based in the downtown technopolis of Raleigh, North Carolina, recently named Forbes 2010 most wired city (whatever that means). Raleigh and the greater “Research Triangle” area, make up one of the most advanced technology metros in the world serving as home to three major R&D universities and tech employers such as SAS, IBM, Lenovo, Red Hat, GlaxoSmithKline, Cisco and Sony Ericsson to name a few. There are more PhD’s per capita in the greater Raleigh area than anywhere in the world, which makes it tough for us to sound smart at parties, but easier to look cool.
